Accorato appello

Date: Wed, 4 Feb 2009 17:53:43 -0800 (PST)
Subject: The kilosteve beckons
From: "Glenn Branch"

Dear Steves, Stephens, Stephanies, Stevens, Estebans, and so forth,

At last, NCSE is just about ready to announce that 1000 Steves -- a kilosteve, if you prefer -- have signed the Project Steve statement supporting the teaching of evolution. But we could use your help.

Project Steve debuted at the AAAS meeting in 2003. Conveniently, we have enough Steves to make the kilosteve announcement at the AAAS meeting in 2009, and Marc Abrahams of Improbable Research is graciously providing us with space to do so. (And it occurs close enough to Darwin's 200th birthday that we can regard it as part of the celebrations, too.)
